Traverse City is northern
lower Michigan's largest city. This is an article from the Traverse City
Record-Eagle.
Here's a bit of KISS lore that involves Traverse City. About six
months after the Cadillac event, KISS returned to northern Michigan for
a concert in Traverse City. The venue was an ice hockey arena, seating
about 5,000. Styx opened and did their set. KISS came on and three songs
into the show a transformer outside the arena blew up and the arena's
electrical power was cut off. Repairs were unable to be made, so KISS
fans were disappointed; the rest of the show was cancelled. |
